Okay, ACOTAR readers. It’s officially happening.

After years of waiting, Sarah J. Maas has finally started pulling back the curtain on the next chapter of the A Court of Thorns and Roses universe—and today, we got a LOT to talk about. 👀

The upcoming story has already been confirmed as one massive story told across multiple parts, with ACOTAR 6 releasing October 27, 2026 and ACOTAR 7 following January 12, 2027.

And now?

We have titles. We have covers. And we have approximately 10,000 new theories.

The newly revealed titles are:

A Court of Splintered Harmony

and

A Court of Forgotten Melody

And honestly... those titles alone are enough to send the fandom spiraling.

What does splintered harmony mean?

What—or who—is the forgotten melody?

Are these titles connected to specific characters, magic, relationships, or something much bigger happening in Prythian?

We don't know yet.

And that's exactly what makes this so much fun.

👀 The Covers Are Giving Us Clues

The artwork has already sent ACOTAR fans into full detective mode.

There are plenty of details to stare at, analyze, screenshot, zoom in on, and inevitably turn into elaborate theories.

And while we don't want to pretend we know what every symbol means, that's part of the fun of being an ACOTAR reader.

We're supposed to speculate.

We're supposed to have theories.

We're supposed to notice something tiny and immediately send it to our book friends with:

“WAIT. DID YOU SEE THIS?!”

We still have October 27 circled on our calendars for ACOTAR 6, followed by January 12 for ACOTAR 7.

Which means we have plenty of time to reread the series, revisit our theories, argue about ships, analyze every tiny detail Sarah gives us, and prepare our bookshelves accordingly.
